creativity
SIDE BAR
In medieval times, the colour orange
was the symbol for endurance and strength.
Orange represents the colour of fire and
relates to a burning passion, but is tempered
by the yellow of wisdom. (www.godweb.org)
Here are some suggestions to help you integrate
creativity in your life.
Make a tuna sandwich, add some chunks
of red pepper to delight the eye, some green
parsley for hope and a slice of orange on the
plate for passion and wisdom. Voila; you are an
artist! Savour each mouthful.
Grab a pencil, gaze at a beautiful flower
and sketch it quickly. It doesn’t matter if your
creation looks like a flower. In paying attention
to light and shadow, observe more intently
and feel the flower’s beauty through you. Be
pleasantly surprised with your artwork.
Share your day with a spouse or friend; add
a little twist of humour or wisdom and see how
you feel. Creativity comes in many forms.
Dress yourself with splashes of colour. Add a
colourful scarf (orange for creativity and energy
is a great touch). Allow yourself some fun and
flair.
Take a different route on your way home
from work. Observe your surroundings with the
curiosity of a child.
