not working properly, the body’s health suffers. BodyTalk
helps to restore the ability of the body and mind to properly
communicate.
Cherie Carpenter is a BodyTalk Access Trainer and
explains that the practitioner respects the client’s innate
intelligence and involves the client by asking a series of
questions using an extensive protocol chart. Through
muscle testing, the client’s body responds to the
questions. The human body prioritizes what needs
to be addressed. Light tapping on the head tells
the brain to pay attention and repair the faulty
communication. Tapping on the heart complex
helps the body to remember the repairs.
Deep breathing is also required during the
process. The healing begins once the body has
recognized that it has been heard. BodyTalk
does not interfere with conventional medical
practices and integrates well with other
complementary therapies. The best part
is that BodyTalk is safe, effective and
non-invasive.

“The key element in maintaining health
in the body is the re-establishment
of communication between all
the systems and parts of
the body. In this way, the
body can synchronize
its activities, heal, and
adapt to the stresses of
life.” John Veltheim, The
BodyTalk System
Consider looking a lot deeper
into the mirror
and listening to
the symptoms/
signals that your
body is communicating. Learn to interpret the language of your
own health. Your body may be asking for help so that healing
can begin.

A BodyTalk Session…What’s it Like?
During a spa weekend retreat with a group of girl friends,
the services of a BodyTalk practitioner were available, so I
booked a session for research purposes. The session was
booked for an hour and for the majority of the time, I relaxed
while lying down on a massage table. Soft music was playing
and I closed my eyes and followed the instructions of the
practitioner. She held my wrist and did small compressions.
After about five minutes, I became very emotional and teary
as some concerns that I had been dealing with just seemed to
surface. She started to ask me some general questions about
what I was feeling and indicated that my mind, my emotional
state, was telling me that it needed healing. She asked me to
think about some specific incidents that had occurred that
had caused the emotion and asked me to reflect on those. She
engaged in a series of tappings on my head and on my chest
over my heart. During this time, I was required to do complete
deep breathing with concentrated inhaling and exhaling. I was
asked to share what types of emotions I was experiencing
and she provided coaching, indicating that I was the one who
was attaching the emotion to the issue, no one else. As this
occurred, I continued to feel the intensity of my feelings and
the emotions that were related to the issue subside. The
practitioner sat beside me again and started to hold my wrist.
She indicated that she was testing to see if the emotion and
concern had been released and whether healing had begun.
She recommended that I drink plenty of water to maintain
hydration to assist with the healing process.
After the session, I felt as if a huge block of stress had been
taken off my shoulders. This was replaced by a calming sense
of relief. The issue still exists in my life, but I have not attached
the emotion to it that I had before and it doesn’t stress me out.
I feel much better after the BodyTalk session and the effects
have persisted for over a month. I am impressed!
