In the fall, the moon will rise
in the sky and appear to be
golden orange. According to
Keith Cooley at , the moon
doesn’t change colour, it just
appears orange. In the fall, there
are more dust particles in the
atmosphere. The position of the
moon just above the horizon also
requires more atmosphere for
the light to pass through. These
factors combine to create an
orange-looking moon.
