In the fall, the moon will rise
in the sky and appear to be
golden orange. According to
Keith Cooley at , the moon
doesn’t change colour, it just
appears orange. In the fall, there
are more dust particles in the
atmosphere. The position of the
moon just above the horizon also
requires more atmosphere for
the light to pass through. These
factors combine to create an
orange-looking moon.

Did you know that
if goldfish are left
in the dark over a
long period of time,
they will turn grey?
Goldfish produce
pigment in response
to light through
chromatophores, cells
that give colouration
and reflect light.
Hair colour is determined
by a pigment that has
different types of melanin.
Natural auburn hair
colour is comprised of
eumelanin (responsible
for dark hair colour)
and phaeomelanin
(responsible for red
hair colour).
